I am the owner, as well as one of the stylists at Amanda’s Expressions. I love working alongside my girls doing hair. When I opened the salon in October of 2000 I was only 21 years old. Now I am all grown up with a wonderful husband and a mother of two amazing little boys, ages 3 and 5. The reason I started my own business wasn’t to get rich… all I have ever wanted is a fun salon atmosphere for myself, my employees and our clients. I strive to make Amanda’s Expressions a place that my girls like to come to work and clients love to visit. I originally looked at a more upscale, fancier building to open my salon. Instead, I decided to rent this section of building off of my dad because the overhead was a lot less and I could pass those savings on to my clients by charging less for their services. Funny thing is now this old rustic building is the “IN” thing!

Although managing the salon takes up some of my time, I still truly love doing hair. My favorite services that I offer are different coloring/foiling techniques and haircuts for men, women or kids. I consider myself very lucky to have such a devoted staff and loyal clientele that have been around since day one. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my girls, they truly are my family. Sometimes its hard work to be a mom of 2 boys at home and a “mom” to my 8 girls at work, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!
